FACE THE NEW YEAR WITH CONFIDENCE
If we were to face this New Year depending upon our own strength and ability to make certain that everything we need to happen falls into place, then it might be better to dig a hole and climb into it.
But if we are willing to rely upon God for each step, then our situation becomes a “can’t lose” proposition, and we have every reason to face the New Year with Confidence.

“Do not call to mind the former things,
Or ponder things of the past.
“Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19
There will be problems ahead in the New Year, perhaps even deep troubles (Jesus called them tribulations), but none of them can stop God from accomplishing all that concerns us as we trust Him.
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” Jesus – John 16:33
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The LORD will accomplish what concerns me;” Psalm 138:7-8
“Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE,
HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY.
BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH;
AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM.
But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:35-39
